"As a young woman, it has become increasingly
important to learn how to protect one's self. I learned so much
from Dean in a comfortable environment. Dean helps you learn
without making you feel uncoordinated (even if you are very
uncoordinated). After my first lesson, I felt like I could have
successfully defended myself. Dean also emphasizes the importance
of being aware of your surroundings and preventing problems before they
happen. I learned how to walk to my car after a night class on
campus or a similar situation without being vulnerable. After
having completed another self defense class in the past, Dean's class
was far superior. We learned real world situations and how to

11 I find that after a year in this
workout program that my range of motion has improved greatly. Also, my
balance is much better. Equally important is that my posture and lung
capacity are better. Reference 12 Qigong has been a welcome new
experience to my life. It has helped with morning stiffness in joints,
balance, and overall wellbeing. One of the best things is that no
special equipment is needed - just you and the time you put in.
