Corporate Wellness Seminars
With employees being a company's greatest asset, keeping employees healthier is a
concern for many companies. As a former director of HR, I fully understand
this concern.
These seminars provide your employees with the ability to improve their
health and vitality. Creating a work environment with less stress and anxiety.
It is not necessary to be in peak physical condition or to have any special background to learn these skills.
We can provide seminars at your workplace or company functions.
Wellness Breathing Techniques
Master Ten Dynamic Breathing Techniques!
If your body was a symphony, breathing would be the conductor.
As a newborn you breathed in a natural healthy way, as you
grew older you lost the skill.
Unless you have an absolutely debilitating breathing disease
or condition, the average person can improve their breathing capacity and
health. Looked at from the perspective of the lungs being a muscle, it can be
trained and strengthened with practice.
These breathing techniques have been developed over thousands
of years. I have added my own 40+ years instructional experience to these ten
techniques, to give the student the optimum in a healthy breathing fitness
regimen.
The breathing fitness program is organized to provide learning
options from either standing, sitting or kneeling positions, depending on the
students needs and situation.
Anywhere from your office to your living room these breathing
techniques may be practiced.
My mission is to bring healthy breathing habits back to the
general public.
Qigong
(Chee-Kung) This
is also known as “Energy Movement”. The practice of Qigong is done in place and
relates more toward internal energy and health. The history of this art goes
back almost 3,000 years. Today some hospitals use these visualization and
exercise techniques to aid patients in recovery. The old is rediscovered by
today’s sciences! The movements in Qigong can be modified to fit a wide variety
of strength, balance, and flexibility levels. You can even use a chair!
The three fundamental areas of Qigong
-
Breathing:
Proper breathing methods can play
a key role in having improved health. Breathing provides the energy needed
to break down waste products and toxins, lowers blood pressure, reduces
tension and fatigue, improves memory, improves sleep quality, just to name a
few of the many benefits.
-
Movement:
Qigong is designed to improve the practitioner’s balance / coordination, and
muscle tone (especially legs & hips). All the movements are performed in a
controlled and slow manner.
- Mental
Focus: In conjunction
with the breathing and movement, Qigong’s practice of focusing the mind
brings the practitioner into an improved mental and physical balance. This
balance tends to relieve stress and allow the person to have a more relaxed
and healthy lifestyle.
Personal Protective Strategies
Martial Arts Systems offers a practical Personal Protective Strategies
program. It consists of realistic mental and physical self-defense material
which is effective and necessary to protect yourself. You will learn to combine
the proper mindset with simple but effective techniques that will give you a
higher probability of success against attacks.
The self-defense techniques are derived from karate, aikijutsu, jujutsu and kempojutsu. Anyone can learn these simple
techniques fairly quickly. Unusual physical ability and flexibility are not
required for the program.
The relatively small investment in learning personal protection is something no one can afford to overlook. The trauma and loss
from one single attack can cost you financially, physically and mentally.
-
Corporate Personal Protective Strategies:
A great addition to
corporate wellness programs! Corporate self-defense seminars typically last
4 hours and cost $500 plus expenses (lodging / airfare / mileage / meals) for
groups of 25 or less. Rates will be negotiated for larger groups.
-
Group Programs:
Available to community organizations at
a negotiated cost.
Payment is required prior to instruction. You may
pay via check or PayPal email invoicing (note: it is NOT necessary to have a
PayPal account to use this service, you may use your credit card if you prefer).
